Public Service Announcment:

  • Voter Registration Cards: Coming to your mailbox soon.  Check your voter registration on the Secretary of State website or call our office: 817-598-6185. All voter registration cards expired December 31, 2025.  Parker County Election Office is waiting for the Secretary of State finish their part so we may process all voter registration cards.  A Parker County registered voter does not have to have this card in order to vote, but you must have one of the seven (7) forms of acceptable photo ID
  • New card will be Orange, not yellow.  RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED that is printed on the card is to inform the USPS to return the card to our office if you no longer live at the address on the card.  
  • Review your card once you receive it; check your name, address, and other information for accuracy.  If your name or address is incorrect, you may update the information on the back of the card and put it back in your mailbox.  The USPS will return this to our office to update.VRCard
  • Last Day to register to vote for the 2026 March 3 Primary election is Monday, February, 2, 2026

Things you cannot bring in when voting:

  • No firearms allowed (except for Peace Officers)
  • Cell phones must be turned off or silenced when entering the voting room. Voters cannot use their cell phone or any other recording electronic device inside the polling location.  Which means no selfies, pictures, or videoing while voting.
  • No political apparel or slogans - Voters are prohibited from wearing anything that shows support for a political candidate, issue or party inside the polling location.  This includes T-shirts, hats, or buttons with slogans or names of candidates or parties.  If you are wearing political apparel, you will be asked to remove or cover before entering. Public Service Announcement from Parker County Elections

It has come to our attention the amount of mis-information being circulated on social media regarding the election process. To receive accurate information about elections, your trusted source is Parker County Elections Office – 817-598-6185.

Ballots must have the early voting clerk’s initials on the early voting ballots and election day presiding judge’s signature on Election Day ballots.  This is covered in the Texas Election Code, below is the sections from the Texas Election Code.

Sec. 85.0311.  EARLY VOTING CLERK TO SIGN BALLOTS.  (a)   The early voting clerk's initials shall be placed on the back of each ballot to be used at the polling place.

(b)  The early voting clerk shall enter the initials on each ballot or a deputy early voting clerk shall stamp a facsimile of the initials on each ballot.

Sec. 62.008.  PRESIDING JUDGE TO SIGN BALLOTS.  (a)   The presiding judge's signature shall be placed on the back of each ballot to be used at the polling place.

(b)  The judge shall sign each ballot or an election officer shall stamp a facsimile of the judge's signature on each ballot.

(c)  The signing of ballots need not be completed before the polls open, but an unsigned ballot may not be made available for selection by the voters.


PSA: Electioneering - Texas Election Code 61.003
A person commits this offense if, during the voting period and within 100 feet of an outside door through which a voter may enter the building in which a polling place is located the person: 1. loiters or 2. electioneers for or against any candidate, measure or political party. 
This is a Class C Misdemeanor
This means you  cannot wear a t-shirt, cap, button, or anything similar promoting or not promoting candidates (on the ballot or on previous ballots), measures or political party.

GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION

One of the most important functions of county government is to oversee the electoral process. The Elections Department is responsible for conducting:
•All elections at the federal, state, and county levels
•Certain other elections that contract with Parker County for election services
•Voter registration

As of December 16, 2015 PARKER COUNTY has been accepted successful by Texas Secretary of State for Countywide Polling Places, Commissioners Court accepted to have every election Countywide on December 15, 2015.
